Memory Meme

This one is actually a bit scary. I’m not the kind of person who tends to accumulate true enemies, but there are certainly people out there who could relate some unpleasant memories.

Stolen from Joyce:

If you read this, even if we don’t speak often, please post a comment with a memory of you and me. It can be either good or bad. I promise not to come after you with a spatula, either way. When you’re finished, post this little paragraph on your blog and be surprised (or mortified) about what people remember about you.

I’m not going to put any explicit restrictions on what people post, but please be somewhat considerate of the other readers.

Two memories, both pleasant.

1) Our conversation while driving around Atlanta to drop off donated crap when moving.

2) Hot tub. ‘nough said. 😉

I remember meeting you before meeting Amy, which is really funny, because I was talking to her for a couple hours a day at the time and only knew you as her husband. But I recognized you from photos … 🙂

At Andrew & Joy’s wedding, when I was running around like a crazed person, there you were with Amy. “This is Jeff,” she said, and I said “Hi.” I had no idea the role you’d end up playing later in my life.

I remember meeting you (and the rest of the locals for that matter) at Rick and Jessica’s wedding. It was a little overwhelming meeting so many people, all from Huntsville all at the same time. By that point, I’d been living in Hunstville for not quite a year and hadn’t managed to meet that many people in all those months….and I was in grad. school! Anyway, who knew that by going to a couple of friend’s wedding that I would end up with a gaggle of geeky friends, and you’ve become one of my closest friends. Thanks Big Brother Jeff 🙂

Are you ready for a blast from the past? My first memory of you is this overly-energetic guy, with a voice that was waaaay too big for his body, who drove a red VW bug walking into UCM the first week of classes at UA about, oh grief, was that really 12 years ago????

Hey, Jeff! I know I could be normal and just send you an email, but why be normal? I was doing some cleaning (translate that nesting . . . ) today and found a comment card from McAlister’s Deli with all your contact information on it. When making sure I had it all recorded somewhere that doesn’t involve actual paper, I realized that I had never visited your blog. So, here I am. Dude, it’s been a while since you’ve posted anything — are you doing okay? 🙂
