If everything is going the way it should, there\u2019s one of&nbsp;<a href=\"\/images\/220px-VW_Passat_B6_Variant_front_20090412.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">these<\/a>&nbsp;on a boat on its way to me as we speak. Amy and I are both pretty serious Volkswagen fans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s also no secret that we love making fun of pimped-up econoboxes.<br>Thus, VW has created three of what I think are the funniest commercials I\u2019ve seen in a long time:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=e1MNEqCr748\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Un-pimp your auto!<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Side note: \u201cVee Dub\u201d is played by&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm0001780\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Peter Stormare<\/a>, who has been in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt0116282\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Fargo<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt0181689\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Minority Report<\/a>, and a bunch of other stuff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Another note (31 January 2016):<\/strong><em>&nbsp;<\/em>I actually&nbsp;<em>own<\/em> a GTI Mark V now. \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The locals are quite aware that my brain has been pretty thoroughly eaten lately with my planned new car purchase.
